THE ARTIST: FLEURANT
The woman behind the artist
Her career
Judith Fleurant is a self-taught Canadian painter with a passion for the visual arts. An entrepreneur for many years, she decided to devote herself entirely to her art when she sold her company. To add an academic perspective to her practice, she completed a certificate in visual and media arts at UQAM in 2020.
Artistic approach
''My experience in abstract works has led me to develop an artistic language of my own. Inspired by nature and guided by my emotions, I imagine abstract landscapes. I paint soft, colorful works, both abstract and figurative, that blend easily into different settings'' Judith Fleurant
Today, she paints in her studio in Mont-Tremblant, surrounded by mountains and lakes. Inspired by this magnificent natural environment and her many travels, she creates remarkable abstract landscapes. Fleurant works with the forms she takes from nature, while her colors are inspired by emotions, both her own and those of the people around her. The artist's working process is very methodical and meticulous, her works refreshing with a very distinct style.
